The cash on delivery switch goes under your cart’s total, on the cart page and in the cart drawer. If it lands in an odd place, add the “Cash on delivery switch” block in the theme editor where you want it, or send us a screenshot and the page address, and we fix it for your theme.

Who is it for?
Stores that offer cash on delivery. Hide it when an order looks risky (big orders, first-time customers, postcodes where parcels come back) and charge a small fee when shoppers use it.
What else can I change at checkout?
Hide, rename or reorder your shipping methods and your payment methods. Each rule can depend on the country, the cart value or weight, products, collections, product tags, customer tags and (for payments) the chosen shipping method.
Why can’t I hide or rename my card payments?
In the United States and Canada, Shopify only lets Shopify Plus stores change card payment methods. Other methods (cash on delivery, bank deposit, PayPal and more) work on every plan. Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other wallets can be hidden but not renamed or reordered.
Why does the cheapest shipping stay first?
Shopify’s rule: the cheapest shipping method must be the one picked first. You can still move others around and hide or rename any of them.
How does the cash on delivery fee work?
Shopify doesn’t tell apps which payment the shopper picks before they pay, so the fee is a switch in the cart: “Pay cash on delivery (+€3)”. When it’s on, the fee is added to the order and checkout offers only cash on delivery. When it’s off, cash on delivery is hidden. Turn on the “Cash on delivery switch” app embed in your theme from the app’s home page.
What is the “Cash on delivery fee” product?
The app makes it for the fee: hidden from search, no shipping, no stock. Leave it as it is. When you delete your last fee change, the app removes it. After uninstalling the app you can delete it in Products.
Will it slow my store down?
No. Your rules run inside Shopify’s checkout, with no call to our servers. Only the cash on delivery switch adds a tiny script to the cart.
What happens if I remove the app?
Every rule stops at once and your checkout is back to normal. Nothing is written into your theme. Your rules are deleted 48 hours later.
What does it cost?
Two rules are free, with the order total, country, weight and tag checks. Pro adds the first-order and postcode checks, unlimited rules and your own words on the cart switch. One flat price, never by Shopify plan or orders. Development stores get Pro free.
