Who we are

Nordica COD Rules & Fee is a Shopify app made by Variegata Nordica (Mallory Berthomé). It hides, renames and sorts shipping and payment methods at checkout, and adds a fee to cash on delivery. Questions about this policy or your data: hello@nordica-apps.com.

What the app stores

• Your store’s address and Shopify access, so the app can open in your Shopify admin.
• Your rules and your settings, including the example cart you use in the preview.
• Messages you send with “Contact support” or “Suggest an improvement”, and the email address if you add one.
• Technical error reports: your store’s address, the page and the error, so problems can be fixed.

The app stores no customer data. Your rules run inside Shopify’s checkout, which checks the shopper’s country, cart and tags by itself; the app never sees them.

Who processes the data

Cloudflare hosts the app and its database (under Cloudflare’s data processing terms). Shopify provides the store data, runs the checkout rules and handles billing. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising, and no data is sent to an AI service.

What the app changes in your store

It adds a shipping customization and a payment customization to your checkout. With a cash on delivery fee, it also makes a hidden “Cash on delivery fee” product and adds the cart switch through a theme app embed you turn on. Nothing is written into your theme’s code.

How long it is kept

While the app is installed. When you uninstall, your sign-in data is deleted at once; 48 hours later, when Shopify asks for the store’s data to be erased, everything is deleted.
